SPECIAL SUNDAY AFTERNOON MATINEE with Patsy O’Brien, Sunday, November 15, 2026 at 2pm. We are a masks required venue, and KN95+ earloop style masks are provided free. $10 at door, doors open at 1:30pm! Hailing from Cork in the south of Ireland, award-winning songwriter and much sought-after guitarist Patsy O’Brien is renowned for his ability to meld songwriting and guitar styles seamlessly. It’s a trait that caught the attention of NPR, who featured his arrangement of The Star Of The County Down on their All Songs Considered program. Here’s a Concert Review:“Wow wow WOW…. Patsy played last night at the Coaldale Schoolhouse and it was literally one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. What an engaging performer he is on top of his wonderful songwriting and knock-your-socks-off guitar playing….experiences like these are rare–this may sound like hype but this is the real deal.”
Featured on National Public Radio and winning a Best Song Award from a chapter of the American Folk Alliance in 2003, press critics have commented that Patsy “Falls in the void between Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, and Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson. An Irish Robbie Robertson” (New Haven Advocate). Patsy has traversed the globe, guitar in hand, accompanying, creating and recording with some of the giants of Irish music. His travels hosting guitar and songwriting workshops and performing have led him to formulate his ideas into lessons and one-on-one sessions based on his years of experience answering the questions and queries of an ever-growing band of music-lovers. It’s sure to be a wonderful afternoon of music, and we invite you to join us!
