Patricia Lockwood’s literary career began with poetry, and her second poetry collection (the first to make it to the UK), published in 2014, left her many fans desperate for more of her surreal, subversive, zany, deadly serious wit. For more than a decade they’ve had to make do with a brilliant memoir, two brilliant pieces of autofiction and her many superb essays and reviews in the pages of the LRB. Now at last comes, a poetry collection that blends her new-found passion for metalwork with reflections on geological time, internet memes, explorations of organic bodies, and observations of youth.
