About this Event
Slow down, look closely, and draw. This relaxed sketch crawl invites participants to explore the John Ruskin Prize exhibition through drawing, observation, and creative response.
Inspired by John Ruskin’s belief in careful looking and thoughtful making, the sketch crawl encourages you to move through the exhibition at your own pace, stopping to sketch, note, and respond to artworks that catch your attention. Whether you’re an experienced artist or someone who simply enjoys drawing, this session offers a chance to engage with the exhibition in a deeper, more reflective way.
The session will begin with a short introduction and optional drawing prompts, before participants set off to sketch independently or in small groups. You’re free to stay for as long as you like and draw in a way that feels right for you.
What to expect:
- A guided introduction and sketching prompts
- Time to sketch within the exhibition space
- A relaxed, supportive atmosphere
- Opportunity to share work and reflections at the end (optional)
