DANCING WITH THE PAST description:
It’s 1976. The Olympics are coming to Montreal, and the authorities want to show off the city at its best. So the police are raiding gay bars and bathhouses, and erasing all queer existence from the city. 50 years later, an elderly man reflects on the impact those raids had on him as a young gay man, and the pain he’s carried with him all these years later. A play about memory, oppression, guilt, love and hope for social change.
A WORK IN PROGRESS description:
An old radio on a park bench plays the memories of two childhood best friends turned first loves turned almost strangers. In this tender queer drama, Emma and Mia reunite one last time to listen to the patterns of self-destruction, perfectionism, and misunderstanding that ultimately tore them apart.
