Something Dope brings Pass The Aux to Atlanta for the first time, inside Stankonia Studios.
The building on Antone Street opened as Soundscape in 1985, Bobby Brown ran it as Bosstown from 1990, and in March 1998 Big Boi and André 3000 bought it and named it Stankonia. The album Stankonia was made inside it, and the credit list since runs from Goodie Mob, CeeLo Green and T.I. to Rick Ross, Summer Walker and Latto. Killer Mike made Michael there, and it won the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
On Saturday October 3 the rooms are open to you.
Nobody performs at Pass The Aux. You pull up, you plug in, and your song plays over the system in a world class room for a building full of artists and industry people. The record does the work.
Schedule, all times ET
2 to 3 PM · Play your music in the studio
3 to 5 PM · King of the Aux competition, artists go song for song and one leaves with the crown
6 to 8 PM · Industry hours, play your record for working industry people and get real feedback (VIP wristband required)
Tickets
Early Bird and General Admission cover 2 to 5 PM.
Industry Hours adds the wristband and keeps you in the building until 8.
