A különleges versenyformátum középpontjában a csapatok közötti küzdelem áll: tíz mérkőzésen, tíz súlycsoportban dől el, melyik kontinens csapata emelheti magasba elsőként a Papp-kupa.
A verseny öt női és öt férfi mérkőzésből áll. A ringben minden mérkőzés önálló összecsapás, ugyanakkor minden győzelem a csapat összesített eredményét formálja.
The 1st Papp Cup is not merely a sports event consisting of ten bouts. The tournament is part of an all-evening sports and entertainment show designed to bring international boxing closer to new audiences as well.
The matches will be accompanied by spectacular stage and musical performances, a Half-Time Show, audience engagement activities, and a ceremonial award presentation.
The event is a new international boxing team competition that brings the clash between the champions of Europe and Pan-America to Budapest. At the heart of this unique competition format is the battle between the two teams: across ten bouts in ten weight categories, it will be decided which continent's team can be the first to lift the Papp Cup.
The tournament consists of five women's and five men's matches. In the ring, every bout is an individual contest, yet every victory contributes to the team’s overall result. This is what gives the 1st Papp Cup its special dynamic: individual performance becomes part of a larger, shared goal.
