Join us for an evening celebrating the history and global impact of the steelpan. The event opens with a talk marking the 75th anniversary of TASPO (Trinidad All Steel Percussion Orchestra) and the legacy of steelpan pioneer Sterling Betancourt, followed by a screening of Panomundo: The Evolution of the Steelpan, an award-winning documentary exploring the origins of the only acoustic instrument invented in the 20th century and its rise from Trinidad and Tobago to global recognition. The evening also features a live steelpan performance and concludes with an audience Q&A.
