Did you know that Vincent Van Gogh lived in Stockwell 1873-1874? Just a 15-minute walk from our studio!
In this workshop, we will be using Van Gogh’s famous sunflower painting as ourinspiration and to add some visual interest we will be painting with palette knives to create thicklayers of colours and textures to produce striking sunflowers on canvas. This creativeexperience is enhanced with a platter of cheese and crackers to enjoy as you paint, creating atruly immersive and relaxing artistic escape.
This painting workshop welcomes everyone of all skill levels and encourages personalexpression – perfect for both beginners and experienced artists. The studio environmentprovides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, offering both creativeinspiration and positive surroundings.
Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing mental well-being and creativehealth, especially for those facing barriers.
Please remember:
● Let us know 2-3 days before if you have any dietary requirements
● Please bring a carrier bag large enough to fit an A3 canvas
What you'll get:
● All materials and apron provided
● Gentle guidance throughout
● 30cm x 30cm canvas (or similar)
● Snacks, cheese & crackers, tea, coffee, juice, and a glass of wine or bottle of beer if desired
Knowledge required:
This class is for all levels, it is an adult class for age 16+ (Younger people can join if with an adult. We recommend it is suitable for over 14’s with an adult)
