Capture the quiet serenity of a lake in this watercolor workshop designed to strengthen your observational skills and simplify your landscape process. You’ll learn how to paint islands, water reflections, rocks, and pines while building a scene that feels peaceful, balanced, and full of natural atmosphere. Kris will begin with a demonstration emphasizing reflections and evergreens—two elements that bring movement and structure to a lake landscape. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to simplify shapes, control value, and create a cohesive composition that captures the essence of a lakeside moment.
This is a great workshop for watercolor artists looking to deepen their landscape skills and gain confidence in painting water, trees, and natural textures. Supplies are not included. A PDF supply list is available in the workshop description.

Our courses are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
