About this Event
Outlook 2027
2026 brought a challenging year for Irish agriculture. Weaker output prices met rising input costs, and geopolitical events reshaped fertiliser and energy markets. Weather conditions added further pressure for grassland systems.
Outlook 2027 will first review how each of the main farming systems fared in 2026. It will cover the drivers behind milk price movements, the shifting fortunes of cattle and sheep markets, the pressures facing tillage and pig producers, and the wider forces affecting farm costs and incomes.
Then, looking ahead, speakers will explore the outlook for 2027. The conference will explore where output prices are heading, whether input costs will ease, and how global market developments are likely to shape farm incomes in the year to come.
The programme will also include a special focus on organic farming as well as price and income volatility, an issue increasingly central to the economic future of Irish farms.
Join us for an evidence-based discussion of the year past and the opportunities and risks for the year ahead.
We look forward to seeing you there.
