Welcome to SIO's First Sake Tasting & Seminar in Ottawa!
Come join us at Datsun Restaurant on Elgin on Tues Oct 6th 2026 for an afternoon filled with Japanese sake and delicious foods.
Doors open at 12:30pm and feature a fascinating sake seminar lead by Zach Zimmerman, wine sommelier and WSET Level 2 in Sake.
From 1:30pm to 3:30pm select members of the Sake Institute of Ontario will be pouring a wide range of sakes showcasing its uniqueness and versatility paired with delicous appetizer foods from Datsun.
Whether you're new to sake or just looking to expand your knowledge of Japanese beverages, this event is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about this iconic drink.
UNESCO listed "Sake" as an Intangible Cultural Heritage product giving it a global spotlight, 2000 years in the making.
