About this Event
If Pigeons Turned to Gold returns to Czech Center Cinema for a second screening, followed by a Q&A with producer Klára Mamojková, co-founder of CLAW films.
Over five years, filmmaker Pepa Lubojacki follows her brother and two cousins as they struggle with addiction and homelessness. Intimate iPhone footage, animated family photographs, and unexpected humor reveal a family’s past and the complicated desire to save those we love.
Winner of the 2026 Berlinale Documentary Award and Caligari Film Prize, the film is Czechia’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 2027 Academy Awards.
