Operation Cobra war eine große amerikanische Offensive während des Zweiten Weltkriegs, die an die Landung am D-Day anknüpfte. Ihr Ziel war es, die deutschen Linien bei der Stadt Saint-Lô zu durchbrechen und den Weg für das schnelle Vorrücken der Alliierten ins französische Hinterland zu öffnen.

Operation Cobra was a major American offensive during the Second World War, following the D-Day landings. Its goal was to break through the German lines near the town of Saint-Lô and open the way for a rapid Allied advance into the French interior.

Cobra hadművelet egy nagy amerikai offenzíva volt a második világháború alatt, amely a D-napi partraszállásra épült. Célja az volt, hogy áttörje a német vonalakat Saint-Lô városánál, és megnyissa az utat a szövetségesek gyors előrenyomulásához Franciaország belsejébe.
