From bistros and brasseries to cafés-concerts, dance halls, and cabarets, the cafés of Paris were important sites for artistic dialogue, expression, and experimentation. This exhibition considers the development of the French café and its impact on modern art in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Café Society is a ticketed exhibition; $10 for general public ages 13 and up; FREE for Joslyn members and those 12 and under.
Opera in Conversation is a series of sessions surrounding Opera Omaha mainstage productions that features creatives, scholars, and other public figures. These events exist to foster cross-disciplinary exploration of art, big questions, and community connections.
