Join us for an opening celebration of our new exhibitions on Friday, November 13th from 7-9 PM! 2026 Gibbs Street Resident, Veronica Melendez, presents new work in her solo exhibition; Diaspora Fever Dream; Se Renta, Se Busca. Diaspora Fever Dream; Se Renta Se Busca explores the visual language and disorientation of constructing home away from your homelands. (Gibbs Street Gallery)
2026 Emerging Curator, Krys Ortega, presents a group exhibition in Kaplan Gallery. 80085: Notes on Girlhood features work by seven emerging and mid-career artists who disrupt and expand otherwise settled notions of girlhood. Drawing from both lived experience and its mediated representations, the exhibition considers how girlhood is constructed and continuously negotiated across personal, cultural, and digital landscapes.
Common Ground Gallery will present solo exhibition, A Kingdom Like Yesterday, from Pittsburgh based artist, Andy Kim. Andy Kim (b. Pittsburgh, PA) is a Korean-American painter whose work explores memory, image culture, and the ways personal and cultural histories are constructed and understood.
Artist duo Rosa Nussbaum and Kevin Brophy will exhibit Housewives of the Queer Hearth in the Concourse Gallery. Their digital performance and object-making practice is in dialogue with language, architecture, and systems of power. Together they mine information (language of texts, images, media, social) and institutions around us (residencies, universities, the city itself) for their underlying desires. They explore this through a queer, gendered lens to destabilize dominant patriarchal narratives.
