Electric Blues and Blues Rock with two of DC’s finest blues frontmen on stage together!
Guy Bouchie - Blazing through blues standards and hard-driving originals, young guitar slinger and singer-songwriter Guy Bouchie leads a revolving cast of top DMV players in high-energy, electric live shows that channel the spirit of Freddie King, Magic Sam, and Michael Bloomfield while bringing a fresh, modern edge. A world traveler who grew up between Kenya, Poland, Maine, and Virginia, Bouchie cut his teeth as a sideman for John “Big Poppa” Tilley before stepping out front with his own project, Guy Bouchie & the Heart Fixers, and the roots-rock outfit GXB. From sultry slow blues to boogie-fueled rockers, his sets showcase fiery guitar work, soulful vocals, and a crowd-pleasing stage presence honed everywhere from dive bar residencies to festival stages across the region.
Matt Kelley - Guitarist and singer Matt Kelley fronts a powerhouse roots‑blues band, bringing a deep love of classic American music to every stage and anchoring his sets in greasy shuffles, swampy grooves, and slow‑burning blues. With a sound that pulls from Chicago and Texas blues, 60s and 70s roots rock, and soul‑soaked barroom R&B, the band delivers guitar‑driven originals and reimagined classics that feel both timeless and fresh. Tight rhythm‑section grooves, gritty vocals, and dynamic solos keep the energy high and the dance floor moving, making Matt Kelley’s shows a natural fit for fans of blues, roots rock, and old‑school roadhouse music.
