Change doesn't just alter your life, it asks something of you to die.The version of you that existed before the diagnosis, the breakup, the move, the death, the awakening... they don’t get to come with you through the transformation. You’ve kept moving, dragging them behind you, and wondering why you feel so heavy. You’ve yet to create space to grieve for them.
This September, Open Waters is holding space for exactly that grief: the loss of self.
We'll start by naming what ego death really is, and why the nervous system often reads personal growth as a threat to survival, not an invitation.
We'll sit with the science that affirms our experiences of identity death and re-emergence.
We'll come back into the body. Into presence. Into desire, abundance, and joy as signs of newness using sustainable practices instead of forcing it.
You don't have to know who you're becoming to show up. You just have to be willing to grieve who you were.
