About this Event
It’s time for Chanukah at JCC East Bay!
Join us for our annual Older Adult Chanukah Celebration, a joyful afternoon of tasty treats, great music, and warm company. We’ll gather around the menorah, enjoy a festive nosh of latkes, lunch salads, and sufganiyot catered by Saul’s deli, learning with and Chief Jewish Learning Officer, Yafit Shriki Madadish, and celebrate the Festival of Lights together with friends old and new.
This year we’re thrilled to welcome back Cantor Mark Levy for “Oy, Chanukah!”, a concert of holiday songs from the Old World and the New. Mark will sing in Yiddish, Ladino, Hebrew, English, and Russian, carrying us across the many places Jews have lit their candles over the centuries. The emphasis is on celebration, so come ready to clap, hum along, and maybe even sing a verse or two.
Cost: $18 in advance up to Dec 4 and $21 after Dec 4.
