About this Event
A Journey Through East Meets West (Part 2)
Transform your creative approach in an immersive, hands-on series that bridges two iconic artistic traditions. Designed for artists of all skill levels, this experience builds a foundation in core methods before breaking boundaries to synthesise both worlds into something entirely new.
WESTERN OIL PAINTING CLASS
Led by Artist Grace Chu, these four sessions will offer a unique opportunity to practice oil painting, a hallmark of Western art known for its rich textures, vivid colours, and depth of detail.
Participants must be able to attend each of the four sessions:
Tuesday 13 October - 3pm-5pm
Tuesday 20 October - 3pm-5pm
Tuesday 27 October - 3pm-5pm
Tuesday 3 November - 3pm-5pm
There will be an opportunity to contribute finished pieces for display in a public exhibition at Chelsea Library in December 2026.
Capacity: 10 participants
The sessions are being offered completely free, with support of the RBKC Arts Grant.
Enrolling in both the Ink Wash and Oil Painting classes offers the most complete experience of our East Meets West series, giving you the chance to explore parallel techniques and themes to create unique pieces for exhibition.
You can book a place for the Ink Wash Painting sessions here: Ink Wash Painting 4-Week Programme.
