Ohio Uncorked: A Grand River Valley Wine Tasting
Ohio probably isn’t on your wine radar yet, and we’d love one Saturday evening to change that.
On November 14, Pour Across America is bringing Ohio wine country to Pearl 21 Eleven for a relaxed, guided tasting. You’ll work through six Ohio wines, each with its own food pairing, and hear the stories of the people who made them.
Diana Khandilyan, the founder of Pour Across America, spent part of her summer in Ohio’s Lake Erie wine country, tasting with the winemakers at Grand River Cellars, M Cellars, and Baci. She came home with stories she can’t wait to share. With WSET Level 3 training and a background in earth science, she has a way of explaining what’s in your glass that makes you want to keep asking questions, with zero wine snobbery.
Here’s a fun fact to start the night. Back in 1859, Ohio made more wine than any other state in America. Most people have no idea, and that’s half the fun of tasting it now.
You don’t need to know anything about wine to enjoy this. Bring a friend, or come solo and meet a room full of people who love trying something new.
