October Membership Meeting: 9 COVID-19 QuiltsJoin us for our October Membership Meeting as we welcome Gail, who will share the story behind her fascinating collection of COVID-era quilts.
📅 Thursday, October 22
🕖 7:00 p.m.
📍 In person
💻 Also available online
Over more than two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gail designed, sewed, and quilted 19 quilts, using the creative process as both a practical and therapeutic outlet.
Each quilt was inspired by the personal, social, and political experiences she encountered at different points throughout the pandemic. Together, the quilts form a unique visual diary of an extraordinary time.
A lifelong crafter, retired teacher, and Springfield resident, Gail brings a personal and thoughtful perspective to how quilting can help us process, document, and reflect on the world around us.
Come join us for an evening of storytelling, quilting, and inspiration—and discover how one quilter transformed an unprecedented period of history into a collection of meaningful quilts.
We look forward to seeing you—either in person or online! 🧵❤️
