We are pleased to feature our keynote speaker, Michael Holden Ph.D, assistant professor; University of Winnipeg. His research examines the complexities of teaching, learning, and assessment in contemporary education, with a particular focus on collaborating with teachers as they work to provoke and support emergent learning

Keynote - Michael Holden - Assessment and AI: What We Know Now
Info: Generative artificial intelligence (genAI) is transforming education. Four years since the release of ChatGPT, student and teacher AI use is higher than ever. Meanwhile, most teachers and students still work without clear guidelines from schools, divisions, or ministries of education.
This interactive talk will focus on the latest research on genAI use in K-12 schools, the complexities of assessment in a world where AI exists, and what teachers can do to support student safety, learning, and sound assessment practice.
