As advertised in our October 2026 MenSA (newsletter) Calendar - our "Members Meet and Greet" will "happen" on October 24th. NOTE: THIS MONTH WE ARE 1 WEEK EARLY - to avoid a conflict with the "trick or treaters" visiting our homes on Halloween!
The atmosphere is casual. Prices are reasonable. The wait staff is friendly. And - there are lots of tasty food options.
Jim's Restaurant menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options - all day long. Their biscuits are always outstanding! Also, their desserts (pies, especially) are very, very good.
Located just "inside" Loop 410, on Broadway, this Jim's Restaurant has ample parking.
When you arrive, just look for the table with a "Mensa" sign. Introduce yourself and get ready for some wide-ranging conversation. (We usually try to get the booth in the front portion of the restaurant.)
This is an opportunity for South Texan Mensans - newly joined or "old timers" to get together and talk. Exchange stories. Find out a bit more about each other. And - have a bite to eat at the same time. It is also an opportunity for folks interested in finding out more about Mensa to stop by and ask questions.
RSVPs are not required but would be appreciated (so we can be on the lookout for you).
However, come rain, come shine - your host will be there to greet you!
