• Payment accepted at the door via cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
• Online registration reserves your spot. If you do not pay upon arrival, your reserved spot will be forfeited.

• Check-in begins at 6:30 PM.
• All players must check in by 7:00 PM.
• The tournament begins promptly at 7:15 PM.

If you expect to arrive late but still want to participate, please let us know by 6:45 PM. We can issue you a first-round BYE, allowing you to join in Round 2.

If space remains, walk-in registration will be available.

• Blitz: 3 minutes + 2-second increment (3+2)
• 7 Swiss rounds (non-elimination)
• You will play a different opponent each round.

• Win: 1 point
• Draw: ½ point
• Loss: 0 points

Final standings will be determined by total points after seven rounds.

If players are tied for a prize-winning position, they will play a playoff beginning at 3+2. If necessary, the time control will become progressively faster until a winner is determined.

• An illegal move immediately loses the game, unless your opponent chooses to allow a takeback. Opponents are not obligated to grant takebacks.
• The chess clock must be pressed with the same hand used to move your pieces.
• Castling must be performed with one hand, touching the king first.
• Touch-move and clock-move rules are in effect.
• If an illegal move occurs, capturing the opponent's king is permitted and ends the game. Don't be surprised if your opponent takes your king!

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. Prize amounts will be based on the total number of participants.

Please:

1. Reset the board for the next players.
2. Report your result to the tournament director immediately.

Accurate and timely reporting is essential to keep the tournament running smoothly.
