Join us for our 2026 SEND Conference, created especially for parent carers. This is a multi-agency information event, where you can meet and speak directly with teams from health, education and social care, as well as organisations from across our SEND network.
Find information, advice and support for families of children and young people with SEND, alternative needs and/or disabilities.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Our SEND Conference is a friendly and welcoming event designed to bring parent carers, professionals and SEND organisations together in one place.
On the day, you can:
Explore our marketplace and meet teams from health, education and social care, alongside organisations from across our SEND network.
Speak directly with professionals, ask questions and find out about the support and services available to you and your family.
Attend short information sessions throughout the day on a range of SEND-related topics.
Access free, private 1-to-1 sessions with Irwin Mitchell, which can be booked on the day.
Take some time for yourself with wellbeing activities provided by Northumberland Parent Carer Forum.
Connect with other parent carers, share experiences and meet people who understand some of the challenges families may face.
Enjoy refreshments and a buffet lunch during the day.
There is a dedicated wellbeing area, to get some respite and top up your battery.
There’s no expectation to attend every session. You can plan your day around what is most useful to you, whether that’s attending talks, visiting the marketplace, speaking to professionals or simply connecting with other parent carers.
