This training will be delivered by Karen Dobson, the road safety officer for Derbyshire County Council and her team. The training is aimed at mature drivers and at present includesDriving Skills - The Highway Code, smart motorways, seatbelts, transporting children
The Body – eyesight, hazard perception, changing hearing, planning ahead
Impairments – considering medical conditions, driving under the influence
Moving Forward – changes to driving, driving assessments, blue badge scheme, vehicle adaptations
There may be some changes to the syllabus in the months to come.
