Join NICNE and Forefront of Illinois for a half-day, in-person gathering designed for nonprofit leaders, staff and board members to engage in real connection, honest conversation, and unite around opportunities for practical action in response to legislative challenges facing the nonprofit sector. When we come together, we find strength, inspiration, and new ways forward.

Sebastian Wong, Policy and Government Affairs Director and Lacee Winfield, Policy Coordinator of Forefront of Illinois will lead an engaging and essential workshop to guide your advocacy and lobbying efforts. For 50 years, Forefront of Illinois has served as a trusted resource and leader committed to educating, unifying, and mobilizing the sector in Illinois.
Forefront staff will:
- Lead an interactive training on nonprofit advocacy and lobbying.
- Share a detailed state and federal legislative update including Forefront's annual policy agenda.
- End with a facilitated forum with NICNE staff, filled with insightful discussion focused on: the most urgent challenges facing your organization and the communities you serve; shared challenges and emerging needs; and new opportunities for collaboration and partnership to amplify our collective voice and uplift the value of our sector.
Our conversation and learning will be rooted in the real needs of the communities we serve in the Rockford region, ensuring solutions that are relevant and actionable.
