A practical, 4hr certified night navigation course. Aimed at those who already have some experience of navigation and map reading prior. Experience is likely to be evidenced by completion of other NNAS or navigation awards such as ODA 2, NNAS Bronze, equivalent qualification or logged experience.
The course is ideal for those looking to progress their navigation skills and techniques by learning strategies to assist with navigation in darkness and / or poor weather conditions.
By the end of the evening, you will have been been given the opportunity to demonstrate skills such as:
• Judging Speed, Time and Distance
• Pacing
• Contour Interpretation
• Relocation Strategies
• Spatial Awareness
• Navigation strategies such as Aiming Off, Attack Points, Collecting Features & Handrailing
• Ground appearance
