The Newbie Munch is your safe, low-pressure entry point into Vancouver’s BDSM and kink community — a welcoming space for learning, asking questions, and building genuine connections with others who are just starting out.
Hosted monthly in a casual restaurant setting, this vanilla, non-play event is specifically designed for those who are new to kink and looking to dip a toe into the community with curiosity and comfort.
🔍 What Makes the Newbie Munch Unique?
At the start of every Newbie Munch, we offer a BDSM 101 discussion, facilitated by one of our experienced community hosts. This chat typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour and covers foundational topics like:
- What BDSM means (and doesn’t)
- Consent and communication
- Local events and etiquette
- Finding your path safely and confidently
- After the discussion, the space opens up for socializing — a perfect chance to ask follow-up questions, share stories, and connect with people at a similar stage in their journey.
