🎓 NEW! COLLEGIATE SHAG – 6 WEEK INTRODUCTORY COURSE Get ready for something fast, fun, playful and fabulously vintage! Swing On In is excited to introduce our brand-new 6-week Collegiate Shag course on the Gold Coast.
Collegiate Shag is an energetic partner dance that became hugely popular with American college students during the 1930s swing era. Known for its quick footwork, bouncy rhythm and cheeky personality, it’s most commonly danced to up-tempo swing and jazz, and it is an absolute HOOT!
Over six weeks we’ll take you through the foundations of Collegiate Shag, building your footwork, rhythm, connection and confidence so you can start having fun with it on the social dance floor.

No previous Shag experience required. Come on your own or bring a partner - everyone is welcome!
If you already dance Lindy Hop, this is a brilliant way to add another style to your swing-dancing toolbox. And if you’re newer to swing dancing, we’ll get you started from the beginning.
