Become a Chair Yoga Teacher and meet the growing demand for accessible yoga. As popularity rises, chair yoga is now offered in places such as retirement villages, aged care facilities and community centres.
This specialised training is designed for qualified yoga teachers, and we also welcome experienced movement teachers and health practitioners.
We will cover common issues associated with ageing as well as warming up, stretching, strengthening and relaxation on a chair.
You'll also learn the ins and outs of how to sequence a chair yoga class, and who you might approach once you're qualified to find work.
Please note, the information in this course will assist you to teach Chair Yoga to older adults, and also general information for other populations who might need to practice chair yoga rather than mat yoga, however it does not cover information regarding disabilities, injuries or illness.
This course runs for 2 weeks x 6 hours.
