You are not alone! Come along to Neurocircle; focusing on our own wellbeing, resilience, and support needs, while connecting with others.
About this Event

Neurocircle is a support group for family, friends and carers of Neurodivergent individuals, both adults and children. Sessions consist of guest speakers, advice and support drop-ins and a warm and friendly environment for a cup of tea and a chat.

Please find us at The Junction, Regent Circus, SN1 1QF (Next to Swindon Dance.)

🌿 Neurocircle

Our open drop-in discussion session provides a safe and inclusive space to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of supporting neurodiverse loved ones.

What to Expect

  • A relaxed, judgment-free environment where everyone’s voice is valued
  • Facilitated by experienced Autism support practitioners
  • Opportunities to share personal experiences or simply listen
  • Peer support, encouragement, and understanding from others in similar roles
  • Exchange of practical tips, resources, and coping strategies
  • Guided conversation prompts to help spark meaningful conversation

The session focuses on understanding and supporting distressed behaviours in neurodiverse individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental differences.

Families, friends, and carers can explore how behaviours often communicate unmet needs, overwhelm, anxiety, sensory challenges, or difficulties with communication rather than intentional defiance or attention-seeking.

Understand the importance of shifting from asking:

"What's wrong with this behaviour?"

to

"What is this behaviour telling us?"

This strengths-based approach encourages curiosity, compassion, and understanding.

Who Can AttendThese sessions are open to anyone who supports a neurodiverse person, diagnosed or self-identified.—whether you’re a parent, sibling, partner, extended family member, or caregiver. No prior registration with Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind is required; simply drop in when you can.

Our AimNeurocircle’s goal is to build a supportive community where caregivers and loved ones can find connection, reduce isolation, and strengthen their ability to provide care while also caring for themselves.

🧡 You are not alone

This space is built to hold, hear, and uplift each other. Whether you feel like talking or just listening, your presence is welcome and valued.
