Nepal Sambat 1146 marks the beginning of a new year in the traditional Newar lunar calendar, deeply rooted in Nepal’s rich cultural and historical identity. It commemorates the legacy of Shankhadhar Sakhwa, who freed the people of Kathmandu from debt, symbolizing liberation, generosity, and social harmony. Our celebration this year is more than just a New Year’s festival — it is a reminder of unity, gratitude, and cultural pride among Nepali communities around the world. By coming together, we honor the timeless spirit of giving, resilience, and community service that defines Nepal Sambat.
🙏 Appreciation and Acknowledgments
The success of this celebration is made possible by the unwavering support of our volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.
We sincerely thank every individual who has contributed time, talent, and resources — from planning and fundraising to food preparation, logistics, and performances during Indra Jatra 2025.
Your dedication embodies the true spirit of Nepal Sambat — the belief that when we serve selflessly, we uplift everyone around us.
We also extend heartfelt appreciation to our sponsors, whose generosity and partnership make it possible to preserve our culture and pass it on to the next generation.
