About this Event
You will learn how to:
- Understand and anticipate how people might act in difficult conversations
- Prepare yourself to handle conversations calmly and effectively
- Communicate clearly, listen well, and adapt to challenges as they arise
What the workshop will cover:
The workshop will provide psychological insights that will help you understand your own and other people’s reactions during difficult conversations, the skills to manage your own reactions, and practical frameworks and techniques for having more effective conversations. We will engage in reflective discussions, problem-solving, and experiential practice to help you develop insights, skills and confidence.
Who this is for:
This workshop is for anyone in a role that involves having challenging conversations, such as navigating conflict or friction, delivering difficult news, managing performance, giving feedback, and guiding people through change. This may be of particular interest to those in formal or informal leadership roles. The session is tailored to the voluntary sector, but the learning will be applicable to others in similar settings.
