About this Event
Nature in the City A rooftop gathering for London Climate Action Week
On 21 June 2026 — the summer solstice — we're bringing together the people shaping a new kind of hospitality on the rooftop of Sea Containers London for an afternoon of honest conversation, bold ideas and conscious drinks.
This is a very special London Climate Action Week event. Not a conference. Not a panel of the usual suspects. A warm, uplifting gathering of curious people who believe that how we eat, drink, travel and stay are among the most powerful climate levers we have — and who want to feel genuinely hopeful about what's possible.
Nature in the City is hosted by LORE Group with partners The Datai Pledge, The Long Run and Bouteco.
🍹 A welcome Sapling Spirits (@saplingspirits) cocktail on arrival, courtesy of The Datai Langkawi (@thedatailangkawi).
🍃 NEMI tea (@nemiteas), all afternoon. NEMI is an award-winning social enterprise employing refugees to produce extraordinary loose-leaf teas.
TICKETS £20, with every penny going directly to Farms for City Children (@farmsforcitychildren) — a charity giving urban children transformative experiences working on real farms. This is a donation, not a venue fee. No refunds, but you're welcome to transfer to a friend.

TALKS & SPEAKERS
Why we need to love nature
Juliet Kinsman — Sustainability Editor, Condé Nast Traveller, and Ambassador for The Datai Pledge. Why nature is the most undervalued climate solution we have, and why storytelling is one of our most powerful tools.
Brynn Garner, Rainforest Trust — a short, urgent opening argument for why nature deserves our attention, our investment and our love.
Chief Inspector Kevin Lacks-Kelly, Head of the UK National Wildlife Crime Unit and Chair of the INTERPOL Wildlife Crime Working Group. Wildlife crime is the fourth-largest criminal offence globally. Protecting nature is inseparable from protecting communities.
The case for investing in nature Siddarth Shrikanth, Investment Director for Natural Climate Solutions at Just Climate and author of The Case for Nature (Penguin), in conversation with Rosie Stubbs (The Long Run) and Jacqueline Kneebone, Director of Sustainability & Wellness at LORE Group. Cutting emissions alone won't be enough — here's why nature is the missing piece.
Food, drink & the land Tackling the biodiversity crisis one bite and sip at a time. Geetie Singh-Watson, founder of The Bull Inn in Totnes — one of the most radical regenerative hospitality businesses in Britain — and Ed Faulkner of Sapling Spirits, in conversation moderated by Juliet Kinsman and Jon Weeks. What we eat and drink as a direct vote for the landscapes that sustain us.
Citizens, community & the power of showing up Why individual participation matters — from rewilding urban spaces to the science of how time getting stuck in together — especially out in nature — is good for us. Lauren Scott-Holmes (earnt), Lucy Cleland, Editor of Country & Town House, a spokesperson from Farms for City Children on why reconnecting city children with nature and farming is one of the most important things we can do.
Leaving it on an uplifting note — Dr Matt Winning Stand-up comedian, environmental economist, UCL researcher and BBC Radio 4 presenter, his show Solastaglia is running at the Soho Theatre during London Climate Action Week.
