Take your stitching out to cafés, bookstores, and other public places to share your love of stitching and our Guild with curious onlookers. Leave a note on this page about where and when you will be so that others can join in the fun. While you're out, take some pictures and share them with us. Stitch-in-Public Day was created to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of EAC/ACB in September 1974. Members wanted a way to celebrate the anniversary, and what better way than to promote embroidery and encourage the public to become involved. And that is how “Stitch-in-Public Day” was born.
EAC/ACB’s national Stitch-in-Public Day is held on the last Saturday in September each year. All EAC/ACB chapters are encouraged to stitch in public on that day.
