About this Event
On Sunday, October 5 at 5:00pm, join us at 7 Stages Theatre in Little Five Points for a powerful community worship service in honor of National Coming Out Day.Hosted by Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and The Collective, this community worship service features uplifting music and personal stories of resilience which will remind us that God's radical and unconditional love is for everyone, especially our LGBTQIA+ siblings.
This year’s celebration will feature an incredible lineup of speakers and storytellers, including:
- Senator RaShaun Kemp (he/him) – First openly gay man serving in the Georgia State Senate
- Bentley Hudgins (they/them) – Georgia State Director for the Human Rights Campaign
- Rev. Kimble Sorrells (they/them) – Board Member, Georgia Equality
- phoenix rahel (name preferred) – Member of The Collective’s Board of Directors
This event is free and family-friendly. There will also be a special Children's Message delivered by Gagatha Christie - reminding our young people that they are free to be exactly who God made them to be. A catered reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres will follow the service. Let's kick off Atlanta Pride week with bold stories of transformation from community leaders, demonstrating that coming out can enhance one's relationship with spirituality and the divine.
