With grateful hearts, we invite you to a beautiful celebration of faith, compassion and hope.On Sunday 4 October 2026, the Sisters of Compassion, the Compassion Whānau and the Catholic Bishops of Aotearoa New Zealand will gather for a National Centennial Mass honouring Venerable Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert.
The Mass marks 100 years since Suzanne Aubert’s death and will be celebrated at St Mary of the Angels Church in Wellington, where her funeral was held in 1926. Suzanne’s life continues to speak to us of deep faith, courageous service, love for Māori, care for the vulnerable, and tenderness for all those in need.
All are welcome to join this special Mass of thanksgiving and celebration.
