2nd Annual Nate’s Next Kid Up GalaWhere Dreams Take Flight
I want to personally invite you to one of the most important nights of the year for Nate’s Next Kid Up — our 2nd Annual Fuel the Dream Gala!
This year's theme is very special to me:
FUEL THE DREAM: ABOVE THE CLOUDS
Where Dreams Take Flight
When I look back at everything, we have been able to do, I don't just see events or numbers.
I see memories.
I see children in foster care walking into their first Major League Baseball game.
I see kids looking up at rockets and exploring NASA Space Center.
I see them experiencing The Alamo, traveling to new cities, and cheering from a suite at a Houston Texans game.
I see kids getting on a bus excited because they know they're about to experience something completely new.
Through our Foster Road Trip Program, we have now taken more than 1,300 children in foster care on experiences designed to give them something every kid deserves — a chance to explore, have fun, feel included and create a core memory they'll never forget.
But our impact doesn't stop when the bus comes home.
We've provided thousands of toys at Christmas, backpacks and school supplies for students, Easter baskets, Halloween costumes and opportunities in sports, arts, science, camps and more.
We opened our Dream Big Center, where foster families and caseworkers can receive resources for the children they serve.
We've hosted community events that bring families together like the MLB Pitch Hit and Run!
We've put fishing rods into kids' hands, helped kids step onto fields and courts, encouraged creativity and opened doors to experiences they may never have thought were possible.
And every single one of those moments happened because someone believed in our mission.
That's why this gala means so much to me.
Yes, Fuel the Dream raises money to keep our programs going and help us dream even bigger.
But to me, it's also a night to say THANK YOU.
I want our sponsors, donors, volunteers, partners and community to see what your support has actually done.
You helped fill those buses.
You helped fill those backpacks.
You helped fill Christmas mornings with gifts.
You helped open doors to new experiences.
You helped create those smiles.
You helped create those core memories.
And now I want you to help me create the next ones.
☁️ LET'S GO ABOVE THE CLOUDS.
There are more kids who haven't taken their first road trip yet.
More kids who haven't walked into a stadium.
More kids who haven't explored NASA.
More kids who haven't discovered the sport, art, science or experience that could inspire their own dream.
That's what this night is about.
Celebrating how far we've come.
Showing our community the impact they've made.
And making sure we have the resources to keep saying YES to more kids.

Come celebrate with me. Come see your impact. And let's take the next dream Above the Clouds.
Thank you for believing in Nate's Next Kid Up.
