A monthly movement experience where music comes first.MUSICALITY is a rotating drop-in dance class that explores a different song, movement style, and genre each month. From hip hop and contemporary to modern and beyond, every session is designed to deepen your connection to the music through movement.
You’ll receive the featured song before class so you can spend time with it throughout the week. Together, we’ll explore its rhythm, instrumentation, lyrics, dynamics, and emotional arc, then learn approachable choreography inspired by those musical elements. The focus isn’t just on learning steps—it’s on learning to hear music differently and discovering new ways to embody what you hear.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just looking for a creative way to start your week, MUSICALITY welcomes movers of all levels. Each class offers a fresh style, a new song, and a chance to experience music from the inside out.
Led by Jazzo, a Maryland-born multidisciplinary artist, musician, choreographer, and dance educator with over 20 years of teaching experience, MUSICALITY is shaped by a career spent creating at the intersection of music and movement. With a degree in dance and a background spanning performance, choreography, songwriting, and education, she invites you into a class that’s equal parts accessible, musical, and inspiring.
