The mood deepens as dramatic figures appear - the intense edge of Sweeney Todd, the haunting beauty of the Phantom, and the playful spark of Offenbach’s Orpheus - each revealing a new shade of character and emotion.
Gounod’s ballet music from Faust draws us briefly into the supernatural, a moment where the air feels charged and the band glows with otherworldly color. And then the tension builds toward the final arc of the night.
