In this mushroom cultivation course, you will learn about the history of mushroom cultivation in Hawaiʻi as well as the unique challenges presented by growing mushrooms here in the tropics. After that, you will learn several techniques on how to grow mushrooms here in our hot, humid climate. These are important skills to learn in order to move on to the hands-on portion in the second day, Sunday, January 24 (separate registration below). The majority of mushrooms discussed in this class are not native to Hawaiʻi.Cost:
