Join Rubio for an in-depth lecture and Q&A on the art and process of mural making. Designed for community groups, students, artists, and anyone interested in public art, this session covers every stage of mural development. From concept and design to installation and long-term maintenance. Participants will gain practical tips, technical insights, and real-world strategies for creating successful murals in outdoor & indoor environments.
Rubio is a Contemporary Chicano Artist, born and raised in the West Side of San Antonio.
As an arts organizer, Rubio has instructed and coordinated local community-based public art programming through non-profit arts organizations. Rubio has mentored area high school youth in studio art techniques, public art commissions and early exhibition experience with Community Cultural Arts Organizations
