About this Event
Mulled Wine & Deeper Conversations 🍂
A cosy afternoon of meaningful conversations, new connections & a little relationship psychology.
Come curious. Go deeper. 💜
As the days get shorter and the evenings get colder, there's something especially lovely about slowing down, sharing a warm drink and having a conversation that goes beyond the usual small talk.
This November, Walnut is bringing Deeper Conversations back, this time with a cosy autumn twist! 🍷🍂
After a wonderful sold-out first gathering, we're creating another welcoming space to meet new people, explore what makes human connection meaningful and enjoy conversations you might not have anywhere else.
Whether you're hoping to make new friends, meet like-minded people, learn something about yourself or simply spend a lovely Saturday afternoon in good company, we'd love to have you.
No awkward networking. No speed dating. No pressure to overshare. Just real people and conversations worth having.
🌰 What to expect
🧠 A little relationship psychology
We'll kick things off with insights from Bettie Smythwood, our resident therapist and BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist, exploring the psychology behind how we connect, communicate and build meaningful relationships.
💬 Guided deeper conversations
Settle into small groups and explore thoughtfully designed conversation cards and playful prompts that help you skip the small talk and discover more about yourself and others.
We'll also introduce opportunities to switch groups, so you can meet more people throughout the afternoon.
🍷 Mulled wine & cosy autumn vibes
Enjoy the warmth of a cosy pub setting, with mulled wine available to purchase from our private event bar, alongside other drinks.
💜 Ask a Therapist Anything
Have a question about relationships, communication, attachment, friendships or human connection? Bettie will join us for an informal group Q&A, where you can explore the things you've always been curious about.
✨ Stay a little longer
Our guided activities finish at 4:30 PM, but you're welcome to stay until 6 PM, grab another drink and continue getting to know the people you've met.
Sometimes the best conversations happen when nobody's watching the clock.
