Everyone loves a Martin House Hospice train, and all the fun and excitement that brings! It's been a while since one of our famous three-day affairs, so now it's time to put that right with a rather special series of trains in partnership with our good friends at DB Cargo. So, let's finish the weekend with a killer repositioning move to see a local scrapman, a carriage wash and a busy traction maintenance depot!A well-stocked Buffet Car will serve a wide range of snacks, drinks and light refreshments. Our wonderful real ale bar will be available throughout, and as usual we will be running our very popular on-board charity raffle.
For the traction enthusiast, we will feature a pair of DB Cargo Class 67 locomotives with assistance from DB Cargo Class 66s. There are some rather choice painted numbers in the DBC Class 66 fleet that are in our sights! And you never know with a Martin House train; there may be a surprise! Or two. Or three.
Our friends at Eastern Rail Services will provide their excellent Mark 3 set, which benefits from comfortable seats, wide windows, plenty of legroom and those all-important plug sockets for your tech!
All times and routing are indicative until confirmed by Network Rail. Final routing and timings are usually confirmed by Network Rail five days before travel and will be enclosed with your e-ticket.
