Join us for a workshop to explore the juxtaposition of an ancient fantastical Chinese text with our modern world of genocide, ecocide and rising fascism through movement, physical enaction and filmmaking.
The workshop will be led by Tash Tung, multi-disciplinary artist, and Daniel York Loh, writer and actor, who are both working on the upcoming theatre show * created by Xie Rong and Daniel York Loh.
You'll explore writing that delves into climate change and activism, and AI and mythical creatures through movement and filming.
This workshop is suitable for all levels.

Tash Tung Bio:
Tash Tung is a multi-disciplinary artist working across film, photography, writing and movement. British Malaysian and London-based, Tash’s work disrupts the line between art and pop culture, often exploring themes of identity and heritage.
Her films are notable for her striking conceptual and visual approach in creating cinematic emotional worlds, and crafting a spirited relationship between camera and movement, including music videos (Jorja Smith, Lucinda Chua, Bree Runway), fashion (Miu Miu & Dazed Studios, Selfridges, Nowness), and commercials (Virgin, Zalando, Tourism Ireland & Game of Thrones).
Tash's films and experiential work have played as part of special programming at Institute of Contemporary Arts London, Manchester Art Gallery and the British Film Institute. She was selected as a Rising Female Filmmaker to Watch by the Institute of Contemporary Arts Playback Festival and Something Curated.
Daniel York Loh Bio:
Daniel York Loh's writing has been performed at Ovalhouse, Arcola and Soho Theare amongst others and been nominated for awards as well as published in anthologies like The Good Immigrant and the forthcoming Cardboard Citizens More Than One Story collection. As an actor he has performed at the RSC, National Theatre, Royal Court, West End and most recently opposite Sheridan Smith to critical acclaim in the ITV/Hera series, I Fought The Law.
