Route Highlights
Our circular route explores the very best of Moses Gate Country Park, following sections of the riverbank before looping through the cemetery paths and around the park's beautiful lodges. Expect peaceful waterside scenery, abundant birdlife, woodland sections and open views across this much-loved local green space.
The park occupies land once shaped by industry, yet nature has reclaimed the area in remarkable fashion. Today, the lodges provide a haven for wildlife, while the meandering river and mature woodlands offer a tranquil escape from everyday life.
As we wander around the lakes and riverside trails, keep an eye out for kingfishers, herons, swans and a variety of woodland birds. The changing colours of late autumn should provide plenty of seasonal beauty along the way.
