About this Event
We are thrilled to have you join us on our newest Read Wedding format!
A workshop leading up to a pinnacle moment of performing on stage — we’ll learn about and craft spoken-word poetry. Through a series of activities, we will explore different methods of finding our story, engaging with the stage, and ways of shifting meaning through voice and embodiment of our words.
The goal is for you to find your voice and grow confident in performing on stage. We will explore three core concepts that matter most in crafting and performing powerful pieces: honesty, presence and rhythm.
We’ll be with you every step of the way, and encourage you to come open-minded and open to explore the world of spoken-word.
The pieces we craft here will be performed at the Monolog Event, starting from @19:30. Small snacks will be provided during the workshop.
Monolog Workshop starts @17:30, Dec 17th at 800A Bar & Cabaret.
