Join us for Monday Lunch with Lieutenant General James W. “Chip” Bierman, 47th Commandant of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. Commissioned into the Marine Corps from the Virginia Military Institute in 1987, Lieutenant General Bierman served as both an infantry and intelligence officer throughout his career.His service included operations in the Persian Gulf, Northern Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He held numerous leadership positions, including commanding 1st Battalion, 3d Marines, 3d Marines, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, 3d Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Marine Forces Japan.
Lieutenant General Bierman retired in July 2025 and shortly thereafter assumed duties as the 47th Commandant of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. He will be speaking about the updates about the Corps of Cadets!
