About this Event
This workshop is designed to help participants develop the skills needed to identify, evaluate, and respond to misinformation in today's digital environment.
Participants will learn how misinformation and disinformation spread online, how social media algorithms, AI-generated content, and deepfakes can influence what people see and believe, and how to critically assess the accuracy of information, images, videos, and online sources.
The workshop provides practical strategies for verifying content, recognizing common warning signs of manipulation, understanding the impact misinformation can have on individuals and communities, and applying simple fact-checking techniques before sharing information. By the end of the session, participants will be better equipped to navigate digital content confidently, make informed decisions, and help reduce the spread of false or misleading information online.
